FAQ

Questions patients ask

What is telehealth hormone replacement therapy (women)?+

Telehealth hormone replacement therapy at Best Version of You offers virtual perimenopause and menopause care for women in PA, NJ, NY and DE. Simone Blount, FNP-BC, a Menopause Society member, reviews your symptoms, history and labs by video and builds an individualized plan. Some patients may need an in-person exam before prescribing.

Can I get menopause treatment by telehealth?+

Yes. Consultations, lab review and follow-ups can be done by video. Treatment is individualized and some women may need additional testing or an in-person visit first.

Do I need labs for perimenopause HRT?+

Not always. Perimenopause is often diagnosed from symptoms, but labs can help rule out thyroid and other causes. Your provider decides what is useful.

Is hormone therapy safe?+

For many healthy women near menopause the benefits outweigh the risks, but it is not right for everyone. Your history, including clotting and cancer history, is reviewed first.

What still happens in person?+

Labs are drawn in person at a local lab. Routine screenings such as mammograms stay with your regular providers.

Which states can I be in for a telehealth visit?+

Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York or Delaware. You must be physically located in one of these states at the time of your video appointment.

What do I need for a video visit?+

A phone, tablet or computer with a camera, a reliable internet connection and a private space. Have your medication list and any recent lab results ready.

Do you take insurance for telehealth?+

We are a self-pay practice and do not bill insurance directly. Insurance may cover lab work and some medications, and superbills are available on request. Visit fees are shown when you book.

Is telehealth for emergencies?+

No. Telehealth visits are for scheduled, non-emergency care. In an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department.

How do I book?+

Select Book Today and choose a telehealth visit in the online calendar, or call 570-664-7797.
