Your first telehealth weight loss appointment is a full clinical visit by secure video. Expect a detailed review of your health history, medications, symptoms, prior weight loss attempts, and goals, followed by lab orders if needed and a clear discussion of treatment options. You leave knowing the next step, the timeline, and what we are testing before anything is prescribed.
Before the visit
You will complete intake forms covering medical history, medications and supplements, allergies, family history, and what you have already tried. Have any labs from the past six months handy, along with your pharmacy and insurance information. Find a private spot with a stable connection.
What the provider will ask
Simone Blount, FNP-BC, will ask about your weight history and what has and has not worked, energy and sleep, digestion, cycle or hormone symptoms, mood and stress, activity, typical eating patterns, and any symptoms suggesting thyroid, hormone, or metabolic issues. The goal is to understand the mechanism behind your weight, not just the number.
How labs and monitoring are handled
Most new patients get baseline labs, drawn at a site near you. Results are reviewed together at a follow-up visit, in plain language, with a clear explanation of what each marker means for your plan. See labs before medical weight loss and metabolic lab testing.
How treatment decisions are made
Options are matched to your labs, history, tolerance, and coverage. That may mean a GLP-1 medication, phentermine for the right short-term candidate, hormone or thyroid care, nutrition and strength guidance, or a combination. If a medication is not appropriate for you, we say so and explain why.
How prescriptions and follow-up work
Prescriptions go to your chosen pharmacy. Follow-up visits track tolerance, dose titration, muscle retention, and labs on a schedule that fits your treatment. Ongoing care is the part that determines results — the full sequence is on how it works.
When in-person care may still be useful
Some patients prefer an in-office visit for body composition measures, injections, or simply to meet face to face. The Stroudsburg office is available for that, and you can mix telehealth and in-person visits over time. More detail on telehealth.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I get a weight loss consultation online?
- Yes. Consultations are available by secure video for patients located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Delaware, with in-person visits available in Stroudsburg.
- Do I need to live near Stroudsburg?
- No. You need to be physically located in a state where we are licensed at the time of the visit. Many patients never come to the office.
- Can labs be done locally if I use telehealth?
- Yes. Lab orders are sent to a draw site near you, and results are reviewed together at your follow-up visit.
- How soon can treatment start?
- It depends on your history and whether recent labs are available. Some patients start after the lab review; others need a specific issue addressed first. We tell you the sequence during the first visit rather than after.
- Is telehealth weight loss private and secure?
- Visits use a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform, and your records are handled with the same privacy protections as an in-office visit.
