Hormone symptoms do not respect state lines, and neither does good care. Patients come to Best Version of You from Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg, from across the Delaware River in New Jersey, from the New York border towns, and — by telehealth — from anywhere in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. This guide explains what hormone health care actually involves, which services we offer, and how the process works depending on where you live.
Short answer: Simone Blount, FNP-BC, provides provider-guided hormone evaluation and treatment for adults in all four states. In-person visits happen at our office at 556 Main St, Suite 113 in Stroudsburg, PA. Most of the relationship — consultations, lab reviews, follow-ups and prescription management — can happen by telehealth no matter which state you call home.
What "hormone health" actually covers
Hormones are chemical messengers that influence energy, sleep, mood, weight, sexual function, muscle mass, bone density and more. When patients say their hormones feel "off," they usually mean one or more of a familiar cluster of symptoms: fatigue that sleep does not fix, weight gain that resists diet and exercise, brain fog, low libido, hot flashes, night sweats, irritability or declining strength.
Those symptoms are real, but they are not automatically a hormone problem. Thyroid function, insulin resistance, sleep apnea, depression, medications, chronic stress and nutrient deficiencies can all look similar. That is why our hormone care always starts with evaluation rather than a prescription — a detailed history, a symptom review and targeted metabolic lab testing before any treatment decision.
Our hormone services
Hormone replacement therapy for women
For women in perimenopause and menopause, changing estrogen and progesterone levels can drive hot flashes, night sweats, poor sleep, vaginal dryness, mood changes and weight redistribution. Our hormone replacement therapy for women program pairs symptom review with lab work and an individualized plan. Simone is a member of The Menopause Society, and treatment decisions follow current menopause-care guidance. You can also start with the Peri + Menopause quiz to organize your symptoms before a visit.
Testosterone therapy for men
For men, confirmed low testosterone can contribute to fatigue, low libido, erectile difficulties, loss of muscle and low mood. Our testosterone therapy for men program requires symptoms plus properly timed lab confirmation — never treatment based on a single number. The Male TRT quiz is a useful first step, and our article on erectile dysfunction and low testosterone explains how the two overlap.
Sexual health
Hormones and sexual health are tightly linked for both men and women. Low libido, erectile dysfunction and changes in sexual comfort often have a hormonal component — and just as often a vascular, metabolic or medication-related one. Our sexual health and erectile dysfunction services look at the whole picture rather than reaching for a single fix.
The metabolic connection
Hormones and metabolism influence each other constantly. Insulin resistance can worsen hormone symptoms; hormone changes can make weight harder to manage. Many patients combine hormone care with GLP-1 medical weight loss or lab-guided nutrition support, because treating one side of the equation while ignoring the other tends to disappoint.
How care works in each state
Pennsylvania
Pennsylvania patients have the most flexibility. If you live in Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg or elsewhere in Monroe County and the Poconos, you can do everything in person — consultations, lab draws and follow-ups at the Main Street office. If you live farther out in PA, telehealth covers consultations and follow-ups, and we help you get lab work done at a draw station near you. Telehealth hormone replacement and telehealth testosterone therapy follow the same clinical standards as in-person care.
New Jersey
Stroudsburg sits minutes from the Delaware River, so patients from Warren and Sussex County — Columbia, Blairstown, Hackettstown, Phillipsburg and surrounding towns — often find us closer than in-state options. New Jersey patients can complete their entire hormone program by telehealth: initial consultation, lab review, prescription management and follow-ups. Labs are drawn at a facility near you, and results come back to us for review together.
New York
Patients from Port Jervis, Orange County and the Sullivan County border towns use telehealth for consultations and follow-ups. Treatment decisions, dose adjustments and lab reviews all happen virtually, with blood work completed at a local draw station. Many New York patients appreciate that they can get ongoing, relationship-based hormone care without traveling to a city practice.
Delaware
Delaware patients are fully telehealth. From your first consultation onward, everything happens by secure video visit: history, symptom review, lab ordering and interpretation, prescription decisions and monitoring. You complete labs at a draw station convenient to you, and we review results together before any treatment begins or changes.
What the evaluation process looks like
Regardless of state, the process is the same. It starts with a consultation — in person or by video — where Simone reviews your symptoms, health history, medications, sleep, stress and goals. If hormone testing is appropriate, you get a lab order for a draw station near you. Once results are in, you meet again to go through them in plain language: what is normal, what is not, and what your options are.
If treatment is appropriate, the plan includes follow-up. Hormone therapy is never "prescribe and forget" — it requires monitoring symptoms, repeating relevant labs, adjusting doses and watching for side effects. That ongoing relationship is the part that keeps treatment both effective and safe, and it is built into how we practice. You can read more about the visit flow on our how it works page.
Insurance, labs and cost
We are a self-pay practice, which keeps care simple and transparent — no surprise bills and no waiting on insurance approvals for visits. Many patients can use their insurance for lab work and for prescriptions filled at their own pharmacy, and we provide superbills you can submit to your plan for possible reimbursement. Exact visit costs depend on your consultation and plan; current details are on the pricing and membership page.
When to seek an evaluation
Consider a hormone evaluation if symptoms are persistent and affecting your daily life: fatigue that rest does not fix, hot flashes or night sweats disrupting sleep, a significant drop in libido, erectile changes, unexplained weight gain, or mood and focus changes that feel out of character. These do not automatically mean you need hormone therapy — they mean you deserve to be assessed rather than told it is "just aging."
Wherever you live in PA, NJ, NY or DE, the first step is the same: a conversation. Book today and we will figure out together whether hormones are part of your story — and what to do about it if they are.

Frequently asked questions
- Can I get hormone therapy if I live in New Jersey, New York or Delaware?
- Yes. Simone Blount, FNP-BC, is able to provide telehealth hormone care to patients located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York and Delaware. Consultations, lab reviews, prescription management and follow-ups all happen by secure video visit. You complete blood work at a lab draw station near your home, and we review the results together before any treatment decision.
- Do I ever need to visit the Stroudsburg office in person?
- For most hormone care, no — the entire program can run by telehealth. Pennsylvania patients near Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg often prefer in-person visits, and New Jersey patients from Warren and Sussex County sometimes combine a visit with other errands across the river. But in-person visits are an option, not a requirement, for hormone evaluation and treatment.
- What symptoms suggest a hormone problem worth evaluating?
- Persistent fatigue that sleep does not fix, hot flashes or night sweats, low libido, erectile difficulties, unexplained weight gain, brain fog, irritability and declining strength are all common reasons patients seek evaluation. These symptoms can have many causes — thyroid, insulin resistance, sleep apnea, medications and stress among them — which is why we test before we treat rather than assuming hormones are the answer.
- What lab tests are included in a hormone evaluation?
- Testing is tailored to your symptoms and history. For women, that may include estrogen, progesterone, thyroid markers and metabolic labs. For men, it includes properly timed total and free testosterone, plus related markers. Because hormones interact with metabolism, we often look at blood sugar, lipids and other metabolic indicators at the same time through our metabolic lab testing service.
- Is hormone replacement therapy safe?
- For the right patient, with proper screening and monitoring, hormone therapy has a well-established safety profile. Safety depends on your age, health history, the specific hormones used and ongoing follow-up — which is why we never prescribe without labs and a full history, and why treatment always includes scheduled monitoring. Risks and benefits are reviewed with you in plain language before you decide anything.
- How is testosterone therapy different from what I see advertised online?
- Legitimate testosterone therapy requires symptoms plus lab confirmation of low testosterone, a review of your cardiovascular and prostate health, and ongoing monitoring of blood counts and hormone levels. Online programs that prescribe from a single questionnaire skip the steps that keep treatment safe. Our TRT program follows Endocrine Society and American Urological Association guidance, including repeat testing and scheduled follow-up.
- Will my insurance cover hormone treatment?
- We are a self-pay practice, so visits are paid directly — many patients use HSA or FSA funds, and we provide superbills you can submit for possible reimbursement. Insurance can often be used for lab work and for prescriptions filled at your own pharmacy, depending on your plan. We keep visit costs transparent, and current details are on our pricing and membership page.
- How do I get started from my state?
- The first step is the same in all four states: book a consultation through our online scheduling link. You will complete a health history, meet with Simone by video or in person, and get a lab order if testing is appropriate. If you want to organize your thoughts first, the Male TRT quiz and Peri + Menopause quiz on our resources page are helpful starting points.
